Internet services have been disrupted in the provincial capital and only mobile phones are working. UN agencies on Wednesday say that after a clash with the Congo military, most M23 fighters were imprisoned in the city area.

DRC’s World Health Organization Representative Dr. Burerma Hama Sambo has said that his assistant team is facing problems in providing assistance for the hospital. It has even become difficult to run an ambulance.

“It’s a situation where public health has become a gene.”

He hoped in a conversation with UN News that the situation would soon become normal for the DRC government … “People who live in sensitive situations are really needed.” Water supply to Goma, ordinary citizens including health workers and health workers are trapped.

Earlier, a senior DRC Officer -in -Charge of the DRC warned that ordinary citizens in the face of the violence were facing violence at an unimaginable level.

Vivian Van de Pe Perr of DRC Deputy Chief of UN Mission (Manusco) told GOMA representatives on Tuesday that immediate, integrated efforts were needed to prevent the war between the parties.

Dislocation

Before the attack on M23 fighters in Goma, more than seven million people around the city were displaced. However, millions of people have escaped their lives due to the possibility of conflict between the Rwanda -backed rebel party and the DRC military, which has also increased the risk of spreading serious illnesses.

Dr. Burerma Hama Sambo says that when seven million people are living in the camp, you will understand the level of human suffering.

In addition to these, large -scale diseases are spreading in the North Kivu and South Kivo. Both these regions are close to the Rwanda border and are full of mineral resources. Over the past few decades, a large number of armed groups have dominated here.

Outbreak

DRC is at risk of spreading the disease to shelter camps because of frequent joint displays in the DRC. There are also cholera, more than 22,000 cases were registered in 2021 and 605 died. At the same time, 12,000 cases of Khusra were confirmed and 115 were killed.

In addition to these, malaria, child malnutrition and other health problems are also a major challenge.

The World Health Organization Director General Tadras Adhinem Gheberisus declared MPOX a public health urgent in international concern in August last year.

The DRC’s capital, Kinshasa, tried to tackle the threat of MPX with national partners and parties in the United Nations Health Organization, Goma and South Kivu.

Doctor Sambo warns that MPOX patients escaped from a camp treatment center and are now living with the host community and their families.

Because of this, the disease is likely to spread among the local communities, although due to the difficulty and protection condition of the traffic, its impact is not currently revealed.
