On the west coast, 13 children died from the beginning of the year: UNICEF

Regional Director Eduard Begbeder said in a statement that the agency for UNICEF’s Middle East and North Africa called for “immediately stop at armed activity on the west coast.”

A 10 -year -old Palestinian boy died after the firing on Friday, and two days later, an eight -month pregnant woman was shot dead at the Noor Shams camp. In this, the woman’s unborn child also died.

In recent weeks, violence has been detected, many families have been pushed to heavy misery and community under heavy pressure.

Bounce fast in hair death

According to UNICEF, five Palestinian children have died on the west coast since the beginning of 2021. One of the dead is also the age of two, whose pregnant mother was injured.

These seven children were killed after the Israeli army campaign, which began on January 5 in large quantities. The growing number of children who died in violence indicate anxious tendency.

“The number of Palestinian children killed in the region has increased by 20 percent compared to the last 3 16 months compared to the last 3 16 months.”

Palestinian children and three Israeli children were killed on the west coast, including East Yeruslam, from October 2021.

Destroyed in refugee camps

People’s situation has worsened in Zenin, Torakaram and Tawbas administrative regions. The infrastructure has been badly damaged due to Israel’s airstrikes, destruction and explosive weapons use.

People are forced to live without meeting basic needs like electricity or water. Thousands of families had to be displaced because of the ongoing military operation in these regions.

Hundreds of schools damaged

In violence, there are obstacles to children’s education. Due to about 100 school attacks, children and teachers are at risk of schools.

Due to violence, displacement and losing their close relatives, many children need mental health and social help immediately.

UNICEF has demanded further resources considering these growing needs.

“UNICEF has condemned all violence against children,” Edward Begadar said.

“The protection of all citizens, including each child, will be confirmed without exception.”

UNICEF also emphasized the need for a permanent political solution to ensure a peaceful and stable future of all children in the region.
