“What we see is reminded of the dark ages of 20 and 20 2016, where four million people died.”

Serial crisis

The UN chief has said that South Sudan is currently fighting the emergency, political upheaval, human waste, displaced crisis, economic distress and support together.

About half of the country’s population is fighting food insecurity at a serious level and humanitarian assistance is needed in three out of every four.

More than 1 million people have crossed the border to avoid violent conflicts between the anti -Sudan military and took refuge in South Sudan, thus making the crisis more complicated.

“South Sudan has probably removed from the radar of the world, but we can’t see the situation in the abyss.”

Apply to reduce stress

General Secretary Gutresh urged the leaders of South Sudan to release weapons and said the interests of the people and their country should be given priority.

He has called for the restoration of the National UNITY government of South Sudan and the implementation of the peace agreement fully. According to him, the only legal way of taking the guidance of a fair and independent election in December 2026.

The United Nations Chief also appealed to the regional and international communities, including the African Union, to raise their voices for peace.
