Nadia Khuri, the chief representative of the IFRC in Myanmar, told Young, “These tremors, fears and tensions are increasing among the people who have already lived in mourning, and even the fear among the workers employed in relief.”
Damaged several million people
Ocha Christina Powell said that although the attention of the international community here is now diminished, homeless families from their homes still need help to rehabilitate life again.
He said, “Most people’s emergency is not over yet. This is another crisis in front of the people of Myanmar, the challenges already existing.”
“People were telling me that they were afraid to go back to their house, because of the push, the house could fall at any time.”
Earthquakes in the country’s mandal and southern streams of the country are the most disaster.

Ocher’s Tin Aung Thein said that locals still are providing food and necessary household items to people living in the road or relief camp. However, the requirements are very wide, including shelters, food, hygiene kit and toilet for live.
He said, “These people are already living in very sensitive situations and only dependent on income from their daily wages. International cooperation for their rehab is very important.”

The company has reached Myanmar of 250 metric tonnes of relief ingredients every day and more than 2 million liters of more than 20,000 liters of drinking water. However, in response to the IFRC’s Million $ 12 million appeal, only 15 percent of its funds have been obtained.
The right to survive with dignity
Ocha Christina Powell appealed to the international community that the people of Myanmar should come forward and help them to ensure “the right to survive with protection and dignity.”
He emphasized, “Instant and adequate resource supply and uninterrupted access to all communities is very important, so that the situation is not worse.”
