Every year on the occasion of World Press Independence Day, the UN correspondent in Gaza spoke to Palestinian journalists who have faced not only at risk but also deep personal shock when reporting from war -recognized territory.

He also said, “We need electricity and communication benefits to continue journalism, but many journalists do not have it. In such situations we have to resort to the shops that provide communication services. Our offices have now turned on the street.”

They believe that Palestinian journalists have been deliberately targeted during the occupation of Israel in Gaza and they say they are working in Palestine or any other region in the world, should be protected by media workers.

Journalist Muen Sharfi said that he lost some of his family members in the Israeli attack in North Gaza, but “despite many negative impacts at the private, social and human level, my work has not changed professionally.”

He said that he would continue his work with full commitment and on the same day he was going to broadcast a live broadcast from the streets of Gaza city.
