To increase food insecurity including famine, with famine

This is the first time the famine has been announced anywhere in the world after 2017.

According to the UN estimate, since the war between Sudan’s rival forces began, within 20 months, 1.5 billion Sudanil was forced to be extinguished and more than 5 million people need humanitarian assistance.

Like other people in the Darfur region, residents of the Jamsam Shibir have been displaced again because excess violence has spread in every corner of the country.

In short, Sudan has soon become one of the most serious food insecurity in history.

‘Stains’ of hunger

However, Sudan is not the only place that UN Secretary -Genral Antonio Guterres has called “sign” hunger.

More than two and a half million people in the five countries and regions elected in the 2021 global report over the food crisis have been subjected to insecurity.

‘Humanity failure’

The report identified 36 countries and regions where food crisis has been underway for a long time and where 5 percent of residents have faced high level of food insecurity every year since the 2016 2016.

Also, according to the IPC standards, the number of people facing the horrible level of food insecurity between 2023 and 2024 has doubled.

The report said, “In the same situation, after many years of emergency situations, it is clear that general systems have no effect.”

For the first time in this annual report, nutritional data was also included, which assumed that between 6 and 59 months of age 3.77 billions of children were facing serious malnutrition in 26 countries.

This national data does not suddenly arrives, or they do not grow to zero. Rather, the report states that this level of food is the result of many, inter -associated factors of food insecurity worldwide.

The report says, “No region is unclear by this, the crisis is dominating each other and is connected to each other, which is ending decades of development benefits and people are not able to recover from it.”
