According to the United Nations Office (UNODC) for controlling drugs and crime, the production and smuggling of illegal synthetic (artificial) stimulants called methofetamine has increased rapidly in the state of Myanmar, especially in the state of Myanmar.
UNODC emphasized that the amount of production in Shan province and smuggling has increased drastically in the last few years.
In East and Southeast Asia, 206 tonnes of mantalfetamine was seized in 2021, which is 20 percent higher than 2021.
Describing it as “unprecedented” quantity, Senior Officer of the United Nations Office Benedict Hoffman said that 206 tons were cable were simply seized, and probably made access to more roads and illegal markets.
85 percent of the total volume of this synthetic drug is captured in Southeast Asian countries, with only one billion pills in Thailand.
Promoting illegal production
These narcotics are mainly being produced in the state of Myanmar, while Thailand remains the main road and destination to bring them.

Benedict Hoffman said that some areas of Myanmar remained unclean and stable from the already continuous war, but the current crisis in Myanmar is increasing the need for drug trade.
He said, “This mail of violent conflict and stability has created a suitable conditions for the expansion of drug production, which is affecting the entire region and beyond it.”
Expansion
From the state of Shanmar to Cambodia, one of the rapid growing routes for manthfatin trafficking in East and Southeast Asia is flooded.
According to the UNODC, the Cambodian authorities have seized about 10 tonnes of mentalfestin in 2021, which is the largest amount of history of history so far.
UNODC analyst Inknik Sim said, “Cambodia is connected to Myanmar on the way to smuggling, which originally passes through the Republic of Lao, through the Republic of Lao.”
He said that international drug smuggling teams are constantly using new routes to avoid law prevention, and this is why smuggling corridors are also becoming important by connecting Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
