The burden on the local community is increasing
Unama has said that more than 1 million people will have to return to Afghanistan since January. It is a country where 705 percent of the population is living in poverty.
According to the UNAMA, the biggest danger is on women and children, as they are returning to the circumstances of heavy financial constraints and limited basic facilities.
During the Taliban rule, including the ban on higher education, employment and movement, the United Nations has repeatedly expressed attacks on women’s rights.
Stabilize
This return of people is coming at a time when there is a lack of funding for relief work and people should choose a difficult option from food, shelter and safe path.
Unam’s Chief Otunbeva said that immediate assistance for the rehabilitation of people returning is necessary for stability to invest in employment and infrastructure.
He agreed that if timely solid steps were not taken, the impact on employment opportunities and frequent immigration, could create a huge crisis on Afghanistan and surrounding areas.
Apply for the shared efforts to be shared
UNAMA applied for chief donor, development partner and regional governments to return to Afghan and not leave them alone.
He said, “What we see is the direct result of not performing global duties.
The United Nations has applied for integrated efforts to meet people’s needs in Afghanistan and increase assistance in withdrawal.
Also, the need to prioritize regional dialogues with Iran, Pakistan and Central Asian countries has emphasized the need to ensure voluntary, prestigious and safe return.
“Afghanistan’s stability partnership responsibility, inactivity prices, casualties and new conflict should be paid,” said Unam’s Chief Rosa Otunbeva.
