UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, addressing the opening session of the session, emphasized the need for collective action to find solutions in a troubled world.

Palestine got one seat
At the opening of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the State of Palestine, for the first time, received a seat in the General Assembly along with member states, made possible by a resolution adopted during the 10th emergency special session. same year
The resolution calls for additional rights for the State of Palestine to participate in General Assembly meetings.
