New CM will be decided today

New Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet the Lieutenant Governor on Tuesday, 17 September at 4:30 pm and submit his resignation to him. He will also stake claim to form the government under the leadership of the new leader. Before that, at 11:30 am, there will be a meeting of Aam Aadmi Party MLAs at Kejriwal’s official residence, in which the election of the new Chief Minister is likely to take place. Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal held a day-long meeting on Monday to consider the name of the new leader of the legislative party. The party’s Political Affairs Committee i.e. PAC also met on Monday.

Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia met Kejriwal at his residence on Monday afternoon. It is being said that the two leaders discussed the name of the next Chief Minister. After this, a meeting of the Aam Aadmi Party’s PAC was held on Monday evening. Giving information about this, Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said – Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal had called a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee, PAC. All the senior leaders and cabinet ministers of the government were present in it.

Saurabh Bhardwaj said on Monday- Kejriwal held one to one discussions regarding the new CM. Tomorrow there will be a second round of PAC meeting, in which there will be discussions with the MLAs. It is worth noting that two days after getting bail from the Supreme Court in the liquor policy case on September 13, Kejriwal had announced to leave the post of Chief Minister on September 15. After the announcement of his resignation, there is a discussion that one of Atishi, Kailash Gehlot and Gopal Rai can become the next Chief Minister of Delhi. Kejriwal, while announcing his resignation, had said- the public has to decide whether Kejriwal is honest or dishonest. If the public chooses me after the elections, I will take the post. Till the elections are over, the party will choose a new Chief Minister in two to three days.

However, after the PAC meeting on Monday evening, Bhardwaj said – Arvind Kejriwal will resign from the post of Chief Minister on Tuesday. For this, he has sought time from the Lieutenant Governor and has got time to meet tomorrow evening. Along with the announcement of his resignation, Kejriwal made it clear that Manish Sisodia will also not take any post in the government. Since then, Atishi’s name is most discussed for the new Chief Minister. Keeping in mind the Jat vote in Haryana, there is also talk of Kailash Gehlot becoming the Chief Minister. The third name is of Gopal Rai, who has been with Kejriwal since the time of the movement. His wife Sunita Kejriwal is also being kept in the probables but Kejriwal will hardly take the risk of doing so before the assembly elections.
