Srinagar. Voting for the first phase of 24 seats in Jammu and Kashmir is to be held on Wednesday, 18 September. The campaign for it ended on Monday evening. On the last day of campaigning, all parties put in their full strength. Union Home Minister Amit Shah took charge from the BJP. He held three public meetings on Monday and fiercely attacked the Congress, National Conference and PDP. Amit Shah said that the BJP will bury terrorism in the abyss.
However, in the first phase, voting will take place in South Kashmir and some areas of Jammu. Out of the 24 seats on which voting will take place in the first phase, 16 seats are from Kashmir Valley and eight are from Jammu region. In Kashmir Valley, voting will take place in Pampore, Tral, Pulwama, Rajpora, Zainapora, Shopian, DHpora, Kulgam, Devsar, Doru, Kokernag (ST), Anantnag West, Anantnag, Bijbehara, Anantnag East and Pahalgam seats. In Jammu region, voting will take place in Inderwal, Kishtwar, Pader Nagseni, Bhaderwah, Doda, Doda West, Ramban and Banihal.
Before ending the campaign in these areas, Amit Shah held meetings in Pader Nagseni, Kishtwar and Ramban. He counted the development that took place in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 and the benefits that the people of the central government schemes received. Shah alleged that terrorism got strengthened in the alliance of Congress and National Conference. He said- These parties want to bring back Article 370. But this will never happen while BJP is there. He said- I am surprised what the greed for power can do. The Congress party called this Abdullah family traitors, held them responsible for terrorism and kept Omar Abdullah’s grandfather in jail for years. Today, Rahul and Omar Abdullah are doing ‘Ilu Ilu’ to win against Modi ji. Shah said- These parties talk about talking to Pakistan. But until terrorism ends, there will be no talks with Pakistan. These people want to start trade from the Line of Control, due to which terrorism has flourished in the valley.
