After Aam Aadmi Party makes Atishi the Chief Minister, there can be some change in BJP’s politics as well. Bharatiya Janata Party can promote New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj. Remember that 26 years ago, BJP made Sushma Swaraj the Chief Minister of Delhi two months before the assembly elections in a similar way. That experiment of BJP was not successful. But Bansuri Swaraj’s experiment has been successful. She has become MP from New Delhi seat. When BJP held a press conference after Kejriwal’s resignation on Tuesday, Bansuri Swaraj was made to sit with state president Virendra Sachdeva.
In fact, BJP can put forward Bansuri to counter the narrative of a young and foreign-educated woman Chief Minister that AAP has created through Atishi. Atishi has studied from Oxford University and Bansuri Swaraj has also studied law from Oxford. She has been a successful lawyer in Delhi High Court and Supreme Court and is now an MP. Both of them are almost of the same age. So, BJP can create the narrative of Bansuri Swaraj in Delhi. On one hand, Aam Aadmi Party’s woman Chief Minister Atishi will be fighting to make Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister again in the next elections. It is certain that Atishi will not become CM next time. In response to this, BJP can foil AAP’s bet of creating a message among women votes by putting Bansuri forward.
