Rahul Gandhi will address two election rallies in Jammu and Kashmir today

Srinagar. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will hold two election rallies in Jammu and Kashmir. Both these rallies will be held on Monday before the second phase of the assembly elections to be held on September 25. Rahul Gandhi’s first rally will be in Surankote in Poonch. Here he will address the local people. After this, he will address another rally in Shalateng, Srinagar at 1:30 pm. According to sources, Rahul Gandhi will reach Srinagar on Monday morning by a special chartered plane and then go from Srinagar to Surankote by helicopter. Giving this information, Rahul Gandhi said that after addressing the election rally in Surankote, he will return to Srinagar by helicopter. Congress sources told IANS that he will address a rally in the central Shalateng constituency of Srinagar district in the afternoon. JKPCC chief Tariq Hamid Karra is contesting from this assembly constituency. After this, he will leave for New Delhi in the evening by a special chartered plane.

National Conference (NC) and Congress have made a pre-poll alliance. NC is contesting on 52 seats, while Congress will contest on 31 seats. Both these parties have not fielded any candidate on two seats of the state. The alliance has left one seat for CPI(M) in the valley and the other seat for Panthers Party in Jammu division. NC-Congress could not reach a consensus on five seats of Jammu – Banihal, Nagrota, Kishtwar and Doda and Sopore seat of the valley. Both the parties have fielded their candidates in these constituencies. Let us tell you that voting for the second phase of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections will be held on 25 September, while voting for the third and final phase will be held on 1 October. Counting of votes for these elections will be done on 8 October.
