Bus falls into a deep ditch, 4 dead, more than 40 injured

Amravati. A horrific road accident took place near Semadoh in Amravati district of Maharashtra. The bus fell into a ditch. Due to which 4 people died while more than 40 were injured, some are said to be in critical condition. All have been admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment. The bus was going from Amravati to Khandwa. Meanwhile, the bus fell into a 60 to 70 feet deep ditch after losing control on a winding road. On receiving information about the incident, a team of NDRF as well as the local administration reached the spot. Rescue operation was started immediately to evacuate people safely. People are being taken out of the bus. There were about 50 to 55 passengers in the bus. The Amravati district administration has said that the bus fell off the bridge due to the driver losing control of the bus in Melghat, Amravati. Four people died in this incident.

About 30 people were injured. All the injured are being treated at the nearest primary health center in Semadoh. Rescue work is in progress. The administration fears that the death toll may increase. At the same time, the district administration team is keeping an eye on the matter. This is the third major incident in this area in recent times. Buses were victims of accidents in March and then in July this year. In July, a private travels bus was a victim of an accident near the high point of Melghat near Amravati. Then the bus fell into a ditch near Khatkali in Melghat of Satpura Range.
