The theme song of Women’s T20 World Cup has been launched by ICC. ICC has released the official event song Whatever It Takes. ICC has released the theme song of Women’s T20 World Cup on YouTube channel. The official music video has also been launched with the sound-track in this song. It includes highlights of iconic moments of women’s cricket along with showing a cinematic preview of the tournament.

All-girl pop group WiSH sings

In a press release issued on Monday, ICC General Manager (Marketing and Communications) Claire Furlong said, ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is the best platform for world-class players to shine. Women’s cricket has established itself globally, and we aim to further enhance its recognition with the launch of this official event song. This song will inspire the coming generation of women cricketers.

This song is sung by India’s first women’s pop group WiSH. Its music director is Mickey McCleary and composer is Parth Parekh. This song is produced by Bay Music House, and it has been launched by ICC on its official YouTube channel.

Smriti’s hook step included in 1 minute song

India-Pakistan match on 6 October

The opening match will be played between Bangladesh and Scotland in Sharjah on 3 October. India Women’s team will play its first match against New Zealand in Dubai on 4 October. The team will then face Pakistan on the same ground on 6 October. Pakistan will play its first match against Sri Lanka on 3 October itself.

The Women’s T20 World Cup is to be played in the UAE from 3 to 20 October. 10 teams will participate in this World Cup. 23 matches will be held in 18 days. India is in Group A with 6-time champion Australia. Apart from this, this group includes Pakistan, New Zealand and a team from the qualifier. Host Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies and Qualifier-2 team are in Group B. All the matches of this group will be played in Dhaka.
