Last phase of voting in Jammu and Kashmir today

Srinagar. The third and last phase of voting in Jammu and Kashmir will take place on Tuesday. Voting will be held on the remaining 40 seats of the state assembly on Tuesday. Earlier, voting was held on 50 seats in two phases. In the first phase, on September 18, 61 percent voting took place on 24 seats, while on September 25, 57 percent voting took place on 26 seats. Counting of votes will take place on October 8.

In the third phase, voting is to be held on more seats in Jammu region. That is why it is believed that the results of these seats will decide who will get power in Jammu and Kashmir. There is a direct contest between Congress and BJP on most of the seats in Jammu division, only in a few places is National Conference. But there is triangular or multi-cornered contest on most of the seats in Kashmir Valley. Both BJP and Congress worked hard in the third and last phase of campaigning. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who stayed away from campaigning in the first two phases, also held a rally in this phase. Of the 40 seats on which voting will be held on Tuesday, 24 seats are in four districts of Jammu division, Jammu, Samba, Udhampur and Kathua. The remaining 16 assembly seats are in Baramul, Kupwara and Budgam of Kashmir Valley.
