New Delhi. The largest consignment of narcotics till date has been seized in Delhi. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has seized more than five and a half quintals of cocaine, whose value in the international market is said to be Rs 2,000 crore. Along with this, the Crime Branch exposed an international drug syndicate on Wednesday. Police seized 560 kg of cocaine from Mehrauli in South Delhi. Its price is said to be around Rs 2,000 crore.
Police have arrested four smugglers in this case. Of these, 400 grams of heroin and 150 grams of cocaine were recovered from two accused Hashimi Mohammad Waris and Abdul Naib. This is the biggest recovery so far in the capital. It is being told that the police was working for the last two months to find this syndicate. Then the police got input about drugs supply. These smugglers were trying to smuggle this drug into the capital and NCR.
Delhi Police Special Branch officer Pramod Singh Kushwaha said – The name of one of the accused is Tushar Goyal. He is a resident of Vasant Vihar, Delhi. His two friends Himanshu and Aurangzeb were also with him. The three accused were caught from Kurla West along with receiver Bharat Jain. About 15 kg of cocaine was recovered from Tushar, Himanshu and Aurangzeb. He was caught when he was coming out of the warehouse in Mahipalpur Extension to deliver supplies to the receiver. Kushwaha also told that the police have found many more things from the warehouse.
