Maharashtra Deputy Speaker jumped from the third floor

Mumbai Maharashtra Assembly Deputy Speaker Narhari Jhirwal jumped down from the third floor of the ministry, accusing him of ignoring tribal interests. Along with him, another MLA also jumped from the third floor. Both the ruling coalitions are associated with Mahayuti. He took this step in protest against his own government. However, in view of the possibility of them doing something like this, a net had already been placed below, due to which both of them got trapped in the net. Despite this, both of them got hurt.

Maharashtra Assembly Deputy Speaker Narhari Jhirwal along with another tribal MLA Hiraman Khoskar had jumped. His life was saved because there was a net below. Both the tribal MLAs were trapped in the trap. The police reached the spot and took them out. Jhirwal sustained injury on his neck due to falling from height. A team of doctors had reached the ministry to examine him. Jhirwal is an MLA from Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s party NCP. They are protesting against the government’s decision to consider the demand of giving ST status to Dhangar community.

Jhirwal and other tribal MLAs had met Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday, October 4 regarding this matter. However, when things did not work out, he jumped from the third floor of the ministry. Jhirwal and Khoskar also raised slogans in support of the tribal community. After the incident, work in the ministry came to a standstill. Earlier, after meeting Chief Minister Shinde, Jhirwal had said that Plan B is ready. He had said- If CM does not listen to us then we have Plan B ready. Jhirwal said- We do not want to let ST reservation be affected. After this, within an hour he expressed his anger by jumping from the third floor of the ministry.
