New Delhi. This is probably the first time in the history of independent India, when a major party like Congress has rejected an election result and said that it does not accept it. After the unexpected results of Haryana Assembly elections, Congress has officially said that it is not acceptable to it. Congress has said that this is the victory of the system and the defeat of the people. Earlier, parties had generally accepted the mandate, even if the results were not to their liking.
Angered by its defeat, Congress has said that this is the victory of the system and the defeat of democracy. Congress’s media in-charge Pawan Kheda expressed surprise at this result and said – No one can believe that such an unexpected result will come in Haryana. He said- We cannot accept this. We will go to the Election Commission and lodge our complaint. Pawan Kheda said – If said in one line, this is the victory of the system and the defeat of democracy. We cannot accept this. We are collecting complaints. Our candidates have given and are still giving complaints to the returning officers. In the coming days, we will go to the Election Commission with all these complaints and lodge our complaint.
Pawan Kheda said- These results are completely unexpected and we would say that this is unacceptable. The kind of complaints that are coming. There are continuous complaints coming from our candidates from three districts, Hisar, Mahendragarh and Panipat that how we were shown losing in some machines whose batteries were 99 percent and the machines which were not even touched and whose batteries were 60-70 percent. Our candidate was shown winning.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh also said that the Haryana result cannot be accepted in the current circumstances. He also said that Haryana’s chapter is not over yet. Ramesh claimed- Victory has been snatched from us. The results that have come today are not according to the ground reality. This result is against public sentiment. Regarding the results of Jammu and Kashmir, Congress said – people have given a clear mandate. He has given a befitting reply to those who have trampled the honor of Jammu and Kashmir by snatching away its statehood.
