Kharge, Rahul reviewed the defeat

New Delhi. Congress party has reviewed the defeat in Haryana. On Thursday, October 10, two days after the election results, a meeting of senior Congress leaders was held at the residence of party national president Mallikarjun Kharge, in which the reasons for the defeat were reviewed. It is noteworthy that immediately after the results, Congress started saying that it had lost because of the system, that is, the system had made it defeat. Congress has also raised questions on EVMs and has also complained about it to the Election Commission. But other reasons for the defeat were reviewed in Thursday’s meeting.

According to informed sources, the feud between party leaders and the infighting to defeat each other was also discussed in the meeting. It is being told that Rahul Gandhi is very angry with many Congress leaders. According to sources, in the meeting Rahul Gandhi said that the personal interest of the leaders in Haryana remained high, due to which the interest of the party went down. It was decided in the meeting that a fact finding committee is being formed to find out the reasons for the defeat, which will go to Haryana and discuss with the leaders and submit the report to the high command. However, it has not been decided yet which leaders will be included in the committee.

After this meeting held at Kharge’s residence, Congress General Secretary and in-charge of Haryana Ajay Maken said that there were many reasons for Congress’s defeat. He admitted that the party suffered losses due to differences between Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja. On the question of differences between Hooda and Selja, Maken said that there are many reasons for the defeat, ranging from the Election Commission to the differences of leaders. All these reasons were discussed and will be discussed further also.

Maken expressed surprise by terming the results of Haryana as unexpected and said – How can such a big reversal, what the exit polls were saying, what the biggest survey was saying, all of them can be proved wrong together? He said- No conclusion can be reached in this matter in a half-hour meeting. In today’s meeting we have discussed the future strategy. Whatever will happen next, KC Venugopal will give information about it.

Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda and State President Uday Bhan were also invited to this meeting held at the Congress President’s residence, but they did not come. But Sirsa MP Kumari Selja and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala were not invited in this meeting. It is noteworthy that factionalism of Congress was visible throughout the elections but after the elections this factionalism has come out openly. Kumari Selja’s supporters have opened a front against Bhupendra Singh Hooda and are blaming him for the defeat.
