A meeting of the Congress Legislature Party has been called on October 18, a day after the swearing-in of the BJP Chief Minister in Haryana. In this the new leader of the legislative party will be elected. The Congress high command has made Ashok Gehlot an observer. Pratap Singh Bajwa and Ajay Maken will also accompany him. Keep in mind that Ajay Maken was the head of the shortlisting committee there and it was under his supervision that such tickets were decided that Congress candidates came third and fourth in many places. Like Deepak Babaria, Ajay Maken also worked as per the wishes of Bhupendra Singh Hooda. Then the discussion has started that Hooda can again become the leader of the legislature party.
It is being said that Congress does not want to disturb the balance of power in the state. He feels that if Hooda is removed, Omprakash Chautala’s INLD will get a chance and Jats can move towards him. However, this time Chandramohan Bishnoi’s name has been put forward in the anti-Huda camp. He is the son of Bhajanlal and his brother Kuldeep Bishnoi is in BJP. Presently the state president is Chaudhary Udaybhan, who belongs to Dalit community. If he is not removed now then there is a high possibility that the leader of the legislative party will be a Jat. Whether it is Hooda or someone else of his choice, it remains to be seen.
