Bahraich. Sarfaraz and Talib, accused of Bahraich violence in Uttar Pradesh, were injured by bullets in a police encounter on Thursday. He was accused of shooting dead Ram Gopal Mishra in the violence that took place during the immersion of the idol of Maa Durga in Bahraich. Both were absconding after the violence. Sarfaraz and his associates are accused of brutally murdering Ram Gopal Mishra. According to media reports, Sarfaraz was trying to flee to Nepal to escape from Uttar Pradesh Police, but he was injured in a police encounter. The police administration has appealed to the people to stay away from rumors and not believe any kind of misleading information. A close watch is being kept on the misleading posts spread on social media. The administration has warned that if any person is found spreading wrong information, strict action will be taken against him. A procession was taken out for the immersion of the idol of Maa Durga in Maharajganj town of Bahraich on Sunday.

Meanwhile, people of a particular community objected to playing religious songs at loud volume. After this the dispute that started between the two parties turned violent. Both communities attacked each other. During this period, public properties were also damaged on a large scale, due to which the entire Bahraich was engulfed in violence. Not only this, the attackers also set many shops on fire. After this, the police immediately tightened their belts and controlled the situation. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the family members of Ram Gopal Mishra, who lost his life in the Bahraich violence, and assured them that the accused involved in this violence will not be spared at any cost. Apart from this, the government had also announced to provide financial assistance to the family members of the deceased. The family members told the Chief Minister that their anger will not subside until strict action is taken against the people who killed Ram Gopal.
