New Delhi. Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain was granted bail by Rouse Avenue Court on Friday in a money laundering case. He has been given conditional bail on a bond of Rs 50 thousand. At present, he has been banned from leaving the country. Earlier, he was granted bail in May last year due to health reasons. Then he remained on bail for 10 months. This year his regular bail hearing was held in the Supreme Court. After this the court asked him to surrender. After this he surrendered in the court on March 18. ED had opposed the bail of Satyendra Jain. But, the court said that he has already served such a long sentence. In such a situation, it would not be appropriate to keep him in jail. Meanwhile, after the court granted him bail, Jain’s wife, who was present in the court premises, started crying. Meanwhile, the court bluntly said that Satyendra Jain will neither meet any witness related to the case nor try to influence any evidence, nor travel outside the country.
Jain’s lawyer said that there is no justification in keeping his client in custody any longer. It will not serve any purpose. On May 30, 2022, ED arrested him in the Money Laundering Case. It is worth noting that Satyendra Jain has got bail at a time when only a few months are left for the assembly elections in Delhi. Preparations for the elections have intensified. In such a situation, the coming out of Satyendra Jain will give new momentum to the Aam Aadmi Party in the campaign. Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party national convenor and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh have been granted bail in the Delhi liquor scam case. Now after the bail granted to Satyendar Jain, an atmosphere of enthusiasm is being seen in the Aam Aadmi Party.
