New DelhiThe Aviation Ministry is preparing to take legal action to deal with the continuous threats being received by Indian aviation companies. Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu said on Monday that legal action was being planned to deal with bomb threats on flights. Those making threats will be put on the no fly list. Besides, amendment in Civil Aviation Act, 1982 along with aviation safety rules is also being planned.
On the other hand, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) Director General Zulfiqar Hasan and Central Industrial Security Force, CISF Director General Rajwinder Singh Bhatti also met Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan on Monday. There was a meeting between them for about half an hour. Earlier, the Union Home Ministry has sought a detailed report from the Civil Aviation Ministry regarding bomb threats on flights. He had also asked CISF, NIA and IB to submit reports. It is noteworthy that on October 20, bomb threats were received in 25 flights of Indian airlines. This week, about 100 flights have received bomb threats.
