Srinagar. The terrorist attack that took place late on Sunday night in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir was carried out by The Resistance Front (TRF) associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. This organization has taken responsibility for the attack. The command of this organization of Lashkar is in the hands of Sheikh Sajjad Gul. It is noteworthy that the terrorists opened fire on the workers working on the tunnel construction work of Srinagar to Leh National Highway in Gagangir area of ​​Ganderbal late on Sunday night. Seven people lost their lives in this attack.

Those who died included Dr Shahnawaz Mir from Budgam and six laborers from Punjab and Bihar. The terrorists had opened fire targeting non-Kashmiri labourers. Since the attack, security forces are conducting search operations in the forests of Ganderbal and Gagangir. This search operation continued on the second day i.e. Monday also. Security forces have been put on high alert since the attack and the National Investigation Agency, NIA, is investigating it.

It is being told that terrorists have been working on a plan to target these laborers for the last several days. It is also being said that TRF has changed its strategy. Earlier they used to target Kashmiri Pandits. But now attacks have been started targeting non-Kashmir migrants. Four days before this incident, a laborer from Bihar was also shot dead in Shopian. It is noteworthy that this major attack by terrorists took place immediately after the formation of the new government in the state.
