Nowadays, like its own candidates, Bharatiya Janata Party fields many independent candidates from other parties as well. Regarding Haryana, it was being said that BJP had 89 candidates but it was fielding 120 candidates. The result of this is said to be that many Congress rebels got so many votes that they defeated the Congress. It seems that a similar game is going to happen in Maharashtra also. Leaders representing different social groups in Maharashtra are preparing to contest elections. Everyone has announced to contest elections in their respective areas of influence.
In Maharashtra, Congress and its alliance are most hopeful of Maratha and Dalit votes, like Jat and Dalit votes in Haryana. But like Haryana, in Maharashtra too, leaders who want to divide the votes of the strongest Maratha caste and Dalits have become active. Manoj Jarange Patil, who awakened the entire Marathwada by campaigning for Maratha reservation, is saying that he will field Maratha candidates in the elections. Keep in mind that out of nine Lok Sabha seats in Marathwada, the Congress alliance has won eight but if Manoj Jarange Patil fields a candidate then it will be difficult to repeat this performance. Similarly, Dalit leader Prakash Ambedkar is preparing to contest elections by forming his own alliance. Farmer leader Raju Shetty is also associated with him. The farmer’s vote is also considered to be committed to the Congress alliance, but efforts have started to sabotage that too. An MLA coming from a backward community is also going to contest the elections with his own party. Apart from these, there will be a separate case for independent candidates.
