New Delhi. The series of threats to bomb domestic and international flights of Indian airlines is not stopping. More than 50 flights received bomb threats on Tuesday. It is being told that these include domestic and international flights of Indigo, Vistara and Air India. More than 170 flights have received such threats in the eight days since last Monday. Every time there is a threat, planes have to make emergency landing. The Aviation Ministry and all the agencies are finding ways to deal with this.
However, according to informed sources, on Tuesday, 13 flights each of Air India and Indigo, a dozen flights of Akasa Air and 11 flights of Vistara received threats. Vistara and Air India spokespersons on Tuesday said some flights had received security threats on social media a day earlier on Monday. Information was given to the concerned authorities and all protocols were followed.
It is noteworthy that a day earlier on Monday, Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu had said that even though the threats are fake, they cannot be taken lightly. He had said that the government will bring strict laws against this. He said- The names of those making such threats can be included in the ‘No Fly List’. The government is also working on plans to change aviation safety rules and laws. The minister also said that the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) is in constant touch with the Home Ministry on this issue.
