Patna. In the by-elections going to be held on four assembly seats of Bihar, the most interesting contest is being seen in Ramgarh assembly constituency. Here all the parties are trying to correct the caste equation and sail their electoral boat by exploiting the castes. On behalf of NDA, BJP has once again fielded Ashok Kumar Singh from this seat, while the grand alliance has made the contest interesting by fielding Ajit Kumar Singh, son of RJD state president Jagdanand Singh. In comparison to the candidates coming from Rajput caste from NDA and Grand Alliance, Jan Suraj Party made Sushil Kushwaha and Bahujan Samaj Party fielded Satish Yadav in the electoral battle, making the contest tough for all. It is being said that caste equations can play a decisive role in Ramgarh by-election. Yadav, Rajput, Ravidas and Muslim voters have been deciding the political fate of the candidates here. In such a situation, this time Jan Suraj Party and BSP have increased the problems of other parties by creating these equations. The by-election for this seat falling under Buxar Lok Sabha constituency is considered important.
Ramgarh seat had become vacant after Sudhakar Singh, son of RJD president Jagdanand Singh, became MP from Buxar Lok Sabha elections. It is believed that Sudhakar Singh can play an important role in this by-election this time. However, these things are not visible in the field. The workers also seem unhappy, accusing RJD of nepotism. Resentment is visible among RJD supporters even in rural areas. Villagers also say that there is no doubt that development work has taken place in the area in the last few years, but it is insufficient. Local people also seem to be in a mood for change this time. Sudhakar Singh won the 2020 assembly elections by defeating BSP’s Ambika Singh. BJP’s Ashok Singh was at third position. Circumstances seem to have changed in this election. However, it is being said that whichever party is successful in solving the caste equation, its boat will also sail through. Voting on this seat will be held on 13th November and the election results will be declared on 23rd November.
