10 people killed in Israeli air strikes on Lebanon

Beirut/Jerusalem. Israel has carried out air strikes on southern Lebanon. Ten people were killed in the attacks. However, information about how many people have been injured has not been revealed. According to the National News Agency (NNA) report, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike in the early morning on the village of Mefadoun in the Nabatiyeh district, killing two people. Later air strikes were carried out on Sarabin town in Bint Jbeil district on Wednesday morning, killing five people. Apart from this, three people were killed in Israeli attacks on Marakeh village in Tire district. According to the report of news agency Xinhua, meanwhile, Hezbollah has claimed an attack on Israel. Hezbollah has targeted Israeli troops in the villages of Rub al-Thalathin and Adaiseh in southern Lebanon. Israeli defense systems intercepted a rocket launched from Lebanon toward the Tel Aviv metropolis in central Israel and a projectile launched simultaneously at northern Israel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israeli police said on Wednesday.

Air defense sirens sounded in 10 cities in Israel, including Tel Aviv, other metropolitan communities and Camp Gillot. Camp Gillot houses the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)’s elite cyber intelligence unit 8,200. Police reported damage to a car in Herzliya, a city north of Tel Aviv. More than 25 projectiles were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel on Wednesday, some of which were intercepted by the IDF and no casualties were reported, according to the IDF.
