Bitterness has increased greatly between former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister YS Sharmila. This bitterness has increased due to economic reasons but it will also affect politics. Many Congress leaders were looking at the possibility that Jagan Mohan Reddy is on the back foot after losing badly in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections and in such a situation talks can be held with him. Like before, the possibility of the entire YSR Reddy family joining Congress is being seen. YS Sharmila has already joined Congress and her mother Vijayamma is also with her. But now the dispute regarding transfer of shares of a power company has increased so much that there is no possibility of coming together.
Actually, the transfer of shares of the power company was done very secretly. But Jagan Mohan exposed this. He has complained in NCLT that the shares given by him to his mother have been wrongly transferred in her name by YS Sharmila. Jagan says that he transferred the shares because of his mother’s love and devotion. On the other hand, Sharmila says that when Jagan transferred his shares to his mother through a gift deed, then there is no reason to object if she gives those shares to someone else. The controversy going on over this is going to last a long time. Anyway, the next elections are to be held in 2029, so Congress leaders will watch this fight from a distance. If there is any kind of compromise in the family then the political stakes will go away.
