New Delhi. The first winter session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin from November 25. According to informed sources, this session will continue till December 20. In this, the law of ‘one country, one election’ can be introduced and also the bill to amend the Waqf Board law can also be introduced. This bill was introduced in the monsoon session but after opposition’s opposition, it has been sent to the Joint Parliamentary Committee. A committee headed by BJP MP Jagdambika Pal is considering this. The bill will be presented again after the committee’s report comes. A bill to give full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir may also come in this session.
However, it is also being said that a special program can be organized on the occasion of Constitution Day on 26th November this year. It is noteworthy that this year 75 years of the adoption of the Constitution are being completed. On this occasion, a joint meeting of both the houses of Parliament can be held. It is being told that a joint meeting of both the Houses can be held in the Central Hall of the old Parliament House, which has now been named Constitution House.
It is noteworthy that after the results were declared on June 4, the first monsoon session of the 18th Lok Sabha ran from July 22 to August 9. A total of 15 meetings were held in the entire session, which lasted for approximately 115 hours. In the same session, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget for the financial year 2024-2025 in the House on July 23.
