After Maharashtra and Jharkhand, assembly elections are to be held in Delhi. Delhi Assembly elections will be held after three months in February. Before that, both the national parties Congress and BJP are looking for a face. In fact, both of them have no face to compete with Aam Aadmi Party supremo and three-time Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. On the other hand, the parties are looking for new faces, while on the other hand, the leaders of both the parties are busy in their positioning. He is trying to prove that he can be the face of the Chief Minister. This conflict is more intense in BJP because its leaders feel that there may be an opportunity for BJP in the next elections. If Congress is trying to open its account somehow, its search is at the same level. She is looking for such a leader, on whose face the account can be opened in Delhi. There is a debate whether Devendra Yadav can do this work or whether Ajay Maken can do it or whether a new face of Alka Lamba type should be brought in.
On the other hand, the contest in BJP has become tough. Ever since Virendra Sachdeva became the full-time president from acting, his activism has increased a lot. Recently, he presented his claim by taking a dip in the highly polluted Yamuna. BJP legislature party leader and former state president Vijendra Gupta has not yet given up his claim. Many of his fellow leaders are tired and defeated. At least two leaders, Pravesh Verma and Ramesh Vidhuri, who were barred from contesting the Lok Sabha elections, are making separate efforts. These four leaders represent Punjabi, Vaishya, Gurjar and Jat communities. Manoj Tiwari, representative of Delhi’s migrants, has also become active after being elected MP for the third time. His responsibility is to transfer migrant votes from Aam Aadmi Party and Congress to BJP. Apart from these five, two women are also in discussion. Late Sushma Swaraj’s daughter and New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj and former Union Minister Smriti Irani are also being considered as contenders. Before fighting Kejriwal, BJP has to decide whether to fight on the face of any of these seven or to fight on the face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
