Kolkata. Charges have been framed against main accused Sanjay Roy in the case of rape and murder of a junior doctor at RG Kar Medical College. Sealdah Court of West Bengal framed charges against the main accused Sanjay Roy. The case will be heard daily from November 11. However, when the police took Sanjay out after his appearance on Monday, he appeared on camera for the first time and said that the Mamata government was implicating him. He has been threatened not to open his mouth.
It is noteworthy that a junior doctor was raped and murdered in RG Kar Hospital on the night of August 8. Doctors protested for 42 days against this incident. However, the CBI, which is investigating the case, has named Sanjay Roy as the main accused in its charge sheet. Apart from this, the case has been described as a rape case instead of gangrape. It has also been said in the charge sheet that the semen sample and blood found from the victim’s body have been matched with that of the accused. Not only this, the short hair found at the crime scene also matched the hair of the accused after forensic investigation.
The CBI charge sheet includes statements of 100 witnesses, reports of 12 polygraph tests, CCTV footage, forensic report, mobile call details and location. Apart from this, on the day of the incident, the earphones and mobile of the accused were connected through Bluetooth. This has also been considered important evidence in the charge sheet.
