13 people died due to sudden flood in Afghanistan

Kabul. At least 13 people have died and 16 others have been injured in recent heavy rains and flash floods in Afghanistan. National Disaster Authority spokesperson Mullah Janan Saik said that due to heavy rains in the last 10 days, there were flash floods in Ghazni, Laghman, Nangarhar, Farah, Paktia, Badghis, Herat and Daykundi provinces. According to Mulla Janan Saik, the rains and floods have caused huge property damage in the provinces. 109 residential houses were completely or partially destroyed and about 650 acres of crop land was washed away in flood waters.

Let us tell you that in August this year, ten people had died due to sudden floods in Afghanistan. National Disaster Authority spokesperson Mulla Janan Saik had said that 10 people lost their lives and eight others were injured due to flash floods in some parts of the country in recent days. SAC had said that 100 residential houses were completely or partially destroyed and agricultural land was seriously damaged in the incidents of natural disaster. According to reports, more than 400 people have died and hundreds of others have been injured in rain-related accidents since May. Also, there has been huge loss of life and financial loss in various parts of the war-torn country.
