Lucknow. 27 proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday. While approving the Aided College Teacher Transfer Rules 2024, the minimum posting in the college was reduced from five years to three years. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna and Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev gave information about the decisions taken in the meeting. He informed that a decision was taken regarding transfer of teachers of aided degree college. Teachers will now be able to get transferred only after three years instead of five years of minimum service.
He said that the Uttar Pradesh Aided College Teacher Transfer Rules 2024 have been approved for the Higher Education Department. The minimum posting in the college was reduced from 5 years to 3 years and the amendment in the Private University Act 2019 in UP got the green signal. Educational institutions from other states will also get an opportunity to establish themselves in the state. The proposal to identify and provide 2.3239 hectares of land in Chakrauli Pargana Bijnor in Tehsil Sarojini Nagar for the establishment of the Lucknow campus of English and Foreign Languages Central University in Lucknow has been approved. Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh said that 1850 villages of Sambhal, Amroha and Moradabad will be benefited by the approval of the second phase revision proposal of the Central Ganga Canal Project.
Along with this, the second revised proposal of Bhaurat Dam Project in Lalitpur was approved. At the same time, the drought affected area of Bundelkhand will benefit from the approval of the proposal for Ken Betwa Link Project. To meet the shortage of veterinarians in the state, the proposal to prepare a policy for diploma and certificate courses in animal husbandry has been approved. While approving the new molasses policy, the state government has not made any changes in it. Like last time, 19 percent molasses will be provided for country liquor. Sugar mills will have to pay regulatory fee of Rs 20 per quintal. There is a provision for providing molasses to small scale industries also. The proposal to amend the FDI policy was also approved.
Along with this, the proposal to promote investment of Rs 300 crore under Uttar Pradesh Electronics Manufacturing Policy 2020 has got the green signal. The proposal to amend the Uttar Pradesh Retirement Benefit Rules 1961 for retired state employees has been approved. Under this, if a government employee did not leave any nominee or heir after retirement, then his gratuity money was absorbed by the government, but now the proposal to change it under the new policy has been approved.
Now if a person presents the succession certificate from the competent court in such circumstances, then this money will be given to him. Apart from this, the proposal for setting up an International Yoga and Health Center in Baghpat district has been approved. Approval has been given to transfer 1.069 hectare land in village Hariyakhewa of Baghpat tehsil to the Tourism Department free of cost. To preserve the heritage buildings of the state, the proposal to develop them through Public Private Partnership has received green signal from the Cabinet.
