274 killed in Israeli attacks

Monday was a very deadly day for Lebanon. Israel fired 3000 missiles against Hezbollah.

The Israeli military’s chief of staff informed troops that today’s series of airstrikes is a precursor to a possible ground offensive in Lebanon. Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the deployment of two reserve brigades to the northern border, as the United States and other nations cautioned against escalating the conflict with Hezbollah. A recent wave of extensive strikes by the Israeli military in southern Lebanon has resulted in over 600 deaths. Lebanon’s foreign minister, Abdallah Bou Habib, indicated that the number of displaced individuals is nearing half a million.

In a significant development, Israel intercepted a missile launched from Lebanon toward Tel Aviv, marking the first time Hezbollah has targeted Israel’s economic hub. Hezbollah claimed the missile was aimed at Mossad’s headquarters. Additionally, an Israeli airstrike in Beirut yesterday killed a senior Hezbollah commander, the latest high-ranking figure from the Iran-backed group to be targeted in recent weeks. With fears of a broader regional war growing, the U.N. Security Council is set to convene tonight. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has called for both sides to pursue a diplomatic resolution.
