AAP announced candidates in Haryana

New Delhi. While waiting for the alliance with Congress party to be finalized, Aam Aadmi Party announced its 20 candidates on Monday. Congress has also announced candidates on those seats from where Congress has already fielded its candidates. It is believed that Aam Aadmi Party is not accepting the five seats offered by Congress. Due to this, Congress has also backed out. It is worth noting that there was already no consensus among the state leadership of Congress regarding this alliance.

However, Aam Aadmi Party was demanding 10 seats from Congress. Apart from the four seats falling under Kurukshetra Lok Sabha, Aam Aadmi Party was demanding seats adjacent to Punjab and Delhi. AAP said that they have government in both the places, so they will benefit. On the contrary, Congress was adamant on giving only five seats. Congress wanted AAP to contest elections in urban areas.

It is worth noting that voting will be held on all 90 assembly seats of the state in one phase on October 5. The results will be declared on October 8. Out of the 20 seats on which Aam Aadmi Party has announced candidates, the party is contesting elections for the first time on 12 seats. 19 faces are new in this list. Aam Aadmi Party has given ticket to senior leader and state vice president Anurag Dhanda from Kalayat seat of Kaithal district.
