Governments usually give details of their achievements. Like recently, the Central Government gave details of the achievements of 100 days. Much was trumpeted about the achievements of Narendra Modi in the first 100 days of his third term. While the Prime Minister himself listed achievements everywhere, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a press conference and gave information about many decisions and projects. This is probably the first time that Congress has released the details of the 100-day achievements of the Leader of Opposition. Before this, Adhir Ranjan Choudhary was the leader of the largest opposition party Congress and before that Mallikarjun Kharge was the leader of Congress in the Lok Sabha, but the achievements of his 100 days were not disclosed by the Congress.
Now that Rahul Gandhi is the leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, Congress has told his achievements in the last 100 days. Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal on Friday, October 4, on social media platform X, told about the work done by Rahul Gandhi as the Leader of Opposition. Although there is no real work involved, they termed Rahul Gandhi’s speeches as work and presented it as an achievement. Think, now giving a speech is also an achievement? KC Venugopal wrote on X that Rahul Gandhi raised his voice here, raised his voice there, spoke on paper leak, spoke on Manipur and set an example of ideal opposition. Obviously the Leader of Opposition cannot take any policy decision or inaugurate projects. But Rahul Gandhi’s party had governments in three states. If he had implemented some of the promises he had made in the Lok Sabha elections in the states under his rule and presented them as an achievement, then something would have been achieved.
