The time for NCP leader and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar to leave NDA is coming closer. He had started positioning himself a few days ago. Now he has started repeating the arguments on the basis of which he will leave the BJP alliance and return to Sharad Pawar. On the other hand, BJP leaders are also positioning themselves. They have also started saying that Ajit Pawar should leave the alliance on the pretext of the displeasure of Sangh ideologues and the leaders of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s party. So, overall the stage is ready and it seems that the story, the script has been written. Now it is the turn of the final performance, which can start anytime.
That is why Ajit Pawar has said that he made a mistake by breaking his uncle’s party NCP. Earlier he had said that it was a mistake to field his wife Sunetra Pawar from Baramati seat against cousin Supriya Sule. Now he has said that breaking the party and family was a mistake because society does not consider it good. It seems that he has realized that his party will get less Maratha votes in the assembly elections than in the Lok Sabha. That is why in an interview two-three days ago he also said that his party is based on secular principles and has not compromised with BJP even after going with it. So, the realization of secular principles and the mistake of breaking the party can take him towards Sharad Pawar.
