Mumbai Maharashtra elections are becoming interesting. NCP founder Sharad Pawar is gearing up to defeat the state’s Deputy Chief Minister and de facto NCP chief Ajit Pawar. He has fielded Ajit Pawar’s nephew Yugendra Pawar from his party. Not only this, Sharad Pawar himself and his MP daughter Supriya Sule nominated Yugendra Pawar on Monday. After this Ajit Pawar attacked his uncle. Ajit said that Sharad Pawar is working to break the family.
While addressing a rally after the nomination, Ajit Pawar said- NCP patron Sharad Pawar created division in the family and fielded a candidate against me. I made a mistake earlier, but it seems now other people are making mistakes too. Ajit Pawar said- Politics should not be brought to such a low level, because it takes time for generations to unite and it does not take even a moment to break a family.
It is noteworthy that Ajit Pawar had made his wife Sunetra Pawar contest the Lok Sabha elections against Sharad Pawar’s daughter and his cousin Supriya Sule. Supriya Sule defeated Sunetra Pawar in this election. Later Ajit Pawar had said that he should not have done this. Ajit Pawar had accepted his mistake. Now they are saying that Sharad Pawar is making the same mistake that he had made.
However, his brother Srinivas Pawar’s son Yugendra, who filed nomination against him, said – the fight against Ajit Pawar will not be difficult, but it will not be easy either. The people of Baramati are with Pawar Saheb. Pawar Saheb had shown the same thing in the Lok Sabha also. Appealing to the people to vote for Yugendra, Sharad Pawar said- 57 years ago, I had come for the first time to file nomination from Baramati. Since then people have continuously loved me. I have been associated with the people of Baramati since then. My suggestion to all young candidates is to maintain connect with people. Be polite and accept the mandate politely.
