Ratan Tata breathed his last at Breach Candy Hospital on Wednesday, after he was admitted to the hospital on Monday due to some age-related health issues. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi had expressed grief over the demise of Ratan Tata, honorary chairman of Tata Sons, in a post on Twitter. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had described Ratan Tata as ‘a visionary business leader, a kind soul and an extraordinary human being’. Ratan Tata’s mortal remains have been kept at the NCPA lawn, where people are paying homage to the departed soul. At around 4 pm, the mortal remains of Ratan Tata will leave for the last rites from Nariman Point towards Worli Crematorium Prayer Hall. The family said that the body wrapped in the national flag will be given a police gun salute at the cremation ground and then the last rites will be performed.
