Srinagar. A day after two soldiers were martyred in an encounter with terrorists, security forces again encountered infiltrating terrorists. An army officer was injured in this encounter in Naushera area. These terrorists were infiltrating near the Line of Control in the Kalaal area of Naushera sector. This is the second case of infiltration in the last one week. An officer was injured while stopping the infiltrators.
Earlier on September 9, two heavily armed terrorists were killed near the Line of Control in the Lam area of this sector. On the other hand, the army killed three terrorists in Baramulla, while a day earlier on Friday, two soldiers were martyred in Kishtwar. Two other soldiers were injured in that encounter, who are undergoing treatment. The army and police are conducting a joint operation at both places. Earlier, the army also conducted an operation in Khandara of Kathua. There, soldiers of the Rising Star Corps killed two terrorists.
Earlier on Thursday, September 12, six days before the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, security forces discovered three hideouts of terrorists in Kupwara, Kulgam and Pulwama districts. In Keran sector of Kupwara, the terrorists had made this hideout by digging a pit at the root of a big tree. A space of five to six feet was found at the root. More than a hundred cartridges of AK 47, 20 hand grenades and 10 small rockets were found from there.
