New Delhi. After taking charge on Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi said that after four months, the people of Delhi with their love and trust will again make Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister of Delhi, till then her chair will wait for her and she will run the government sitting on some other chair.
After assuming charge as Chief Minister, Ms Atishi told reporters that just like Bharat ruled Ayodhya by keeping Lord Shri Ram’s sandals for 14 years, in the same way she will run the Delhi government for the next four months.
He said that Lord Shri Ram lived in exile for 14 years to fulfill a promise given by his father, therefore Lord Shri Ram is called Maryada Purushottam. His life is an example of dignity and morality for all of us. In the same way, Shri Kejriwal has set an example of dignity and morality in the politics of this country. For the last two years, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has left no stone unturned to malign Shri Kejriwal. The BJP filed false cases against him, arrested him and kept him in jail for six months.
The Chief Minister said that when Shri Kejriwal was granted bail by the Supreme Court, the court said that his arrest was malicious. He said that if it were any other leader, he would not have thought for two minutes before sitting on the Chief Minister’s chair, but Shri Kejriwal said that he would not sit on this chair until the people of Delhi show faith in his honesty and he resigned from the post of Chief Minister.
He said that the chair of the Chief Minister of Delhi belongs to Mr Kejriwal. He is confident that in the elections to be held in February after four months, the people of Delhi will again make Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister of Delhi with their love and trust. Till then this chair will remain in this room and will wait for Mr Kejriwal.
