There has been an attempt to attack former US President and Republican Party candidate for the presidential election to be held in November this year, Donald Trump. 64 days after the attack in Pennsylvania, there was an attempt to attack Trump in Florida, where he was playing golf. According to American news channel ‘CNN’, Trump was playing at the International Golf Club of Palm Beach County in Florida. An armed man was lying in wait there.
The Secret Service agent guarding Trump saw a suspect hiding in the bushes of the golf club. He had an AK 47 like rifle and a Go Pro camera. The gun was aimed at the golf course. The distance between Trump and the attacker was about three to five hundred meters. The agent shot at the suspect as soon as he saw him, after which he fled in his black SUV. During this, an eyewitness present there took a picture of the suspect’s car. Based on the number plate found in it, the Secret Service chased the car and caught the suspect on the highway 60 kilometers away from the golf course.
Earlier on July 13 this year, Trump was fired upon during an election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in which a bullet grazed his ear. However, the second incident happened at 11:30 pm on Sunday night as per Indian time, at that time it was 2 pm in America. The FBI has been given the responsibility of investigating the case. The FBI has called it an attempt to murder Trump. The suspect has been taken into custody and is being questioned. The suspect has been identified as 58-year-old Ryan Roth.
The Secret Service has informed that Trump is safe. However, it is not yet known whether Trump was shot or not. After this incident, Donald Trump issued a message to his supporters saying – I am safe. I heard the sound of bullets around me, but before any rumors spread about the incident, I want to make it clear that I am fine. Trump further said – No one will be able to stop me from campaigning. I will never surrender.
