Big agreement between India and China

New Delhi. The deadlock that has been going on for more than four years in the relations between India and China seems to be ending. A major agreement has been reached between the two countries regarding reducing tension and border patrolling. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar gave detailed information about this on Adani Group’s news channel ‘NDTV’. In a program on ‘NDTV’, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Monday that India and China have reached an agreement on the border patrolling system. This will bring back the situation before May 2020. This program was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This agreement between India and China was announced before Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Russia to attend the BRICS conference. The Foreign Minister said that both the countries have agreed to patrol the Line of Actual Control i.e. LAC. With this, the border dispute between the two countries in Eastern Ladakh can be resolved and the conflict will reduce. It is noteworthy that during the BRICS conference, Prime Minister Modi will also meet Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Before this meeting, during a conversation at ‘NDTV’s World Summit, Jaishankar said – This is a positive and good development. This is the result of a lot of patience and very determined diplomacy. We have been in talks since September, 2020. After meeting Wang Yi, China’s Foreign Minister in Moscow at that time, I felt that we would be able to achieve peace and return to the pre-2020 situation.

Earlier, India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had given information about this agreement on Monday itself. He also said that after agreeing on the new patrolling system, the armies of both the countries can withdraw. It is noteworthy that soldiers are not yet allowed to reach the patrolling point in Demchok. Armies are still present there. The new system of patrolling is related to these places. It is believed that this will avoid a conflict like Galvan.

It is noteworthy that on October 1, Indian Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi had said that India’s situation with China is stable, but it is not normal, it is quite sensitive. He had said- We have to fight with China, we have to cooperate, we have to live together, we have to confront and also challenge. There have been 17 commander level meetings between India and China since April. We have discussed many issues in these meetings. Earlier, during a conference in Geneva, Switzerland on September 12, Foreign Minister Jaishankar had said that 75 percent of the dispute with China has been resolved. The Foreign Minister also said that the issue of increasing militarization on the border is still serious.
