New Delhi. The Election Commission has not yet announced the by-elections for the 10 vacant seats in Uttar Pradesh, but the Bharatiya Janata Party has started the process of selecting candidates. An important meeting was held in Delhi on Sunday on election preparations and selection of candidates. It is being told that BJP has decided to contest on nine seats, while one seat will be given to ally party Rashtriya Lok Dal.

Party President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh BJP Organization General Secretary and other leaders attended the meeting held on Sunday. A meeting was held at JP Nadda’s residence on Sunday evening. It is noteworthy that Nishad Party, BJP’s ally in the state government, is demanding Majhwan and Katehari seats, while RLD has demanded Meerapur seat. The demand of Nishad Party was also discussed in the meeting.

It is being told that BJP has decided to contest on nine seats and Meerapur seat of Muzaffarnagar will be given to RLD. Even before this, this seat was with RLD. On the other hand, Nishad Party President Sanjay Nishad says that his party had got both the seats in the alliance in the assembly elections.
