Ranchi. Bharatiya Janata Party has shown the way out to 30 rebel leaders who had filed nomination against the candidates decided by the party in the Jharkhand Assembly elections. On the instructions of State BJP President Babulal Marandi, General Secretary Dr. Pradeep Verma on Tuesday issued a notice to expel such leaders from the party for 6 years. He has said that this action has been taken for not following the policies and discipline of the party. Maximum five rebel leaders have been expelled from the party in Hazaribagh and Palamu districts. These include the names of former District President Bhaiya Banke Bihari and Harsh Ajmera, who filed nomination against the BJP candidate from Hazaribagh seat, Bateshwar Mehta, Kumkum Devi and Surendra Modi, who are contesting from Barkattha. Similarly, Colonel Sanjay Singh, Vinod Singh, Chandram Kumari, Pushparanjan and Lakshmi Devi, who were contesting against the candidates fixed by the party on various seats in Palamu district, have been expelled from the party. Shivshankar Singh, Vikas Singh, Rajkumar Singh and Vimal Baitha, who filed nomination against the official candidate of BJP on Jamshedpur seats, have also been expelled for six years.
Two former MLAs have also been expelled from the party for contesting as rebel candidates. These include the names of former MLA Mistry Soren of Maheshpur area of Pakur district and Arvind Singh, former MLA of Ichagarh seat of Kharsawan district. Other leaders who have been shown the door by the party include Julie Yadav of Dumka, Balwant Singh and Santosh Paswan of Latehar district, Chittaranjan Sao of Bokaro, Hazari Prasad Sahu of Ranchi, Ramavtar Kerketta, Misir Kujur of Gumla, Mukesh Kumar of Pakur. The names of Shukla, Shivcharan Mahato, Ramdev Hembram of East Singhbhum, Rameshwar Oraon of Lohardaga, Shivshankar Baraik of Khunti, Upendra Yadav of Garhwa, Umesh Bharti of Chatra are included. On the instructions of the party, many rebel candidates had withdrawn their nominations. These included Munchun Rai and Sandeep Verma from Ranchi seat, Satyanand Jha Batul from Nala, Kamlesh Ram from Kanke and some other leaders.
