BJP's new experiment to conquer Delhi

After about two and a half decades, BJP is preparing to do another experiment to return to power in Delhi. And this experiment will be to promote educated women in politics. 26 years ago also, BJP had made Sushma Swaraj the Chief Minister of Delhi two months before the assembly elections, but BJP had failed in this game then. Now when AAP Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of Delhi has made Atishi, a minister in the Delhi government, the Chief Minister after resigning, BJP has come to its senses again. That is why, with the hope of victory in the Delhi Assembly elections to be held in 2025, BJP is said to be preparing to adopt the narrative of educated women created by AAP by making Atishi the Chief Minister. Yes, it is a different matter that along with Bansuri, BJP is also said to be trying to promote Smriti Irani, who lost the Lok Sabha elections and was a former Union Minister, for the post of CM. BJP feels that a tadka of glamour in the elections can also benefit it somewhere. Atishi, the new Chief Minister of Delhi, after completing her schooling from Springdales School on Pusa Road in Delhi, studied at Stephens College and then entered politics after completing her education from Oxford University.

Similarly, Bansuri Swaraj, who was elected MP from New Delhi on a BJP ticket this time, has also been a member of Parliament from New Delhi. Bansuri Swaraj also studied law from Oxford and practised law in the High Court and Supreme Court and then entered politics. And she won the Lok Sabha election from New Delhi for the first time and became an MP. Now if someone says that after understanding the narrative of a young and foreign-educated woman Chief Minister, BJP is also seen doing this, then why is it surprising? Or say that both the women, young, foreign-educated, are almost of the same age and are trying their luck in politics. Yes, it is a different matter that Atishi’s objective is also being said to be the responsibility of creating an environment to make Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister again. But this is probably not the case with Bansuri. Her party BJP is trying to return to power in Delhi by trying this narrative. And at the same time, she will be able to prepare the ground for votes among women for the party.

But the question is that the party is preparing to field three former MPs in the assembly elections and they are expected to influence the votes in the surrounding assemblies or that for the sake of votes, the three MPs will be able to influence the votes by demanding the CM post from the party, what game does the party want to play with them?

BJP’s bet on beaten pieces in Delhi!

Just think, if they become MLAs after being MPs for ten years, what will the people say and how will these three leaders feel. But the party’s order is Sirmaur, so former MPs Ramesh Vidhudi, Pravesh Verma and Meenakshi Lekhi are likely to be fielded in the assembly elections to be held next year. It is discussed that the party has given a hint to these three. There is also a discussion that before giving tickets, the possibilities of victory or defeat of these three former MPs will be gauged by conducting a survey. However, the party has asked all its six former MPs to start preparing for the assembly elections and give reports to the party high command from time to time. It is a different matter whether the tickets of the former MPs were cut due to their failure or due to the party’s intention to conquer Delhi, but BJP is confident that these three former MPs will be able to make an impact in the five assembly constituencies falling under their Lok Sabha in the assembly elections. Along with this, the current MPs have also been asked to take the moral responsibility of making BJP candidates win in their parliamentary constituencies.
Now, if BJP people say that to keep up the morale of the former MPs who are contesting the elections, the party will also give them a power capsule of making them the Chief Minister if it comes to power, then what is the surprise. With Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal being in jail and the division of votes of Congress and AAP, BJP is seeing hope of a comeback in Delhi. And that is why it is moving very cautiously. Now it remains to be seen whether BJP is able to win in Delhi with its strategy or not, but BJP people taking Kejriwal and party so lightly will also prove to be a mistake. Whether it has an alliance with Congress or not. That is why it is being said about Delhi politics that where AAP ends its political work, BJP and Congress start from there.

Hooda is in the air, silent on CM
What magic former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda shows in the Haryana Assembly elections is a matter of later, but till the ticket distribution, Hooda had the last say. Or you can say that 72 percent tickets for the 90-seat assembly were given as per Hooda’s wish. It is being said that the party’s survey was conducted regarding the claimants under the supervision of observer and former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot and Hooda has given tickets only to the winning claimants. The central leadership including MP Kumari Selja and Randeep Singh Surjewala had to wait for the remaining tickets. Now why and how the party did this is a matter of trust on Hooda, but what was special is that Rahul Gandhi is said to be silent on this entire episode for the time being. Even though Hooda had made it clear in the party before ticket distribution that there should be no doubt this time like last time.

But Rahul Gandhi’s silence may have some meaning. In party circles, this question is also being raised that Randeep Singh Surjewala and Kumari Selja’s statement that it is not necessary to have the number of MLAs to become the Chief Minister is definitely giving some indication and this is when Rahul Gandhi has not yet said yes to Hooda’s name. Now it may be being said because there is no consensus on Hooda in the Hooda camp itself. Or there is talk of making his son MP Deepender Hooda the Chief Minister from the Hooda camp itself, but it is certain that the supporters are not talking about Hooda as CM with as much vigor as Hooda has distributed tickets. And this will not be the first time. In 2005, when Hooda was made the CM of Haryana, the election was fought on the strength of Bhajan Lal. And Bhajan Lal could not become CM even after getting the majority.
