Canadian minister's disclosure

New Delhi. A minister of Justin Trudeau government of Canada has made a big disclosure. A Canadian government minister has admitted before a parliamentary committee that he had told the name of Amit Shah to an American newspaper in the matter of action against Sikh separatists. This is the first time that any minister of the Trudeau government has taken the name of Amit Shah in this matter. However, the minister did not tell from where and how he got the information about the involvement of the Home Minister of India in this matter.

According to international media reports, Canada’s Deputy Foreign Minister David Morrison appeared before a parliamentary committee on Tuesday. Morrison told the parliamentary committee that he had told the American newspaper ‘Washington Post’ that the Home Minister of India is involved in this matter. Morrison said that it was he who gave the information related to the India and Canada meeting to the American newspaper. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian High Commission in Canada had no immediate comment on the matter. However, the Indian government has refused to be involved in any way in this, terming all such previous allegations of Canada as baseless.

According to the Canadian newspaper ‘CBC News’, David Morrison had come to testify in front of the Public Safety and National Security Committee related to national security on Tuesday. According to the report, MP Raquel Dancho associated with this committee asked Morrison how this information reached ‘Washington Post’? On this Morrison said- I deliberately Chose ‘Washington Post’. Actually we wanted a newspaper which was international and which could tell our story. For this I chose a journalist who had long experience in this matter and had written on this topic many times before.

Morrison told that the journalist asked him – Is this (Amit Shah) the same person. i said yesit’s them. Earlier on October 16, Justin Trudeau had said before a commission that last year i.e. in September 2023, when he had alleged the involvement of Indian agents in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, he had only intelligence information. There was no concrete evidence. It is noteworthy that ‘Washington Post’ had claimed on October 14, quoting Canadian officials, that Home Minister Amit Shah and Indian intelligence agency RAW had jointly given permission to gather intelligence in Canada and attack Khalistani terrorists.
