Char Dham Yatra gained momentum as soon as monsoon stopped, devotees broke record

Chardham Yatra: As the pace of monsoon subsides, Char Dham Yatra has again gained momentum. On September 30, 20497 devotees came to visit Char Dham. Among these, maximum number of 7350 pilgrims are included in Kedarnath Dham. If we look at the numbers of the entire yatra period till now, around 38 lakh devotees have come to visit Chardham. The speed with which the government has made all efforts to deal with the Kedarghati disaster and normalized the situation has deepened the confidence of the passengers in the government. Travelers have flocked to see Baba Kedar with full enthusiasm and faith.

Now the second phase of the journey has gained momentum. A large number of passengers have registered for the journey in the months of October and November also. On September 30, 22 thousand 244 devotees including Hemkund and Gomukh reached Chardham Yatra. Apart from Kedarnath, 6811 devotees reached Badrinath, Gangotri 3619, Yamunotri 2717, Hemkunt 1632 and 115 devotees reached Gomukh. ,Chardham Yatra)

Chardham Yatra will create records

During this yatra period till 30th September, a total of 37 lakh 91 thousand 205 pilgrims have come to visit Chardham. Whereas last year, 56.13 lakh passengers had arrived during the entire journey period. 46.29 lakh pilgrims reached Chardham darshan in 2022 and 34.77 lakh in 2019. In 2020 and 2021, travel was affected due to Corona infection. Passenger numbers in these two years were 3.30 lakh and 5.29 lakh respectively.

This year Chardham Yatra has started from 10th May. Whereas last year on April 23, the Yatra was inaugurated with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. Then the doors of Kedarnath were opened on 25th April and the doors of Badrinath Dham were opened on 27th April. This year, the doors of Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath Dham have opened after 17 days i.e. on 10th May, while the journey to Badrinath Dham has started from 12th May.
